Peter Getz
at Kulturhuset Fregatten, Stenungsund.

Soulbossa
In the bookcase that holds, bossa/soul/jazz/blues, Peter
Getz has designed and built his very own shelf, and
it is a solid piece of work. This is an easy to listen
to, high-quality debut album whose tasteful, refined
craftsmanship inspires respect. Sting and Stevie Wonder
have contributed songs to the album but the majority
of the tracks are written by Peter Getz.

Getz Bossamysoul
(Satellite Records)
Father Stan’s spirit is watching over this Bossa
Nova-inspired project, mainly through the contributions
of former Stan Getz pianist, Mike Lang, but also to
a large extent through Wojtek Goral’s extraordinary
idiomatic saxophone performances. Mats Ronander’s
harmonica and Andreas Pettersson’s guitar give
the whole album a gilt edge. Brian Hobbs’ excellent
lyrics deserved to be printed on the CD cover. Peter
Getz is a total vocal artist who both caresses the ear
and gets under your skin: light as a feather and a little
raspy, honest and elegant. Soulbossa- a pretty good
name for this music genre.
